Our Story Started with Cotton Recycling
Our story began in 1964, working with cotton and textile materials. Large quantities of cotton were collected from textile manufacturers and surplus fabrics from manufacturing overruns were recovered and put to good use, rather than wasted

Our history in cotton recycling has some surprising connections.
In our early years, we collected and processed cotton from textile manufacturers, supplying recycled cotton to companies involved in the manufacture of banknotes.
But banknotes weren't the only destination for our recycled cotton. It was also used in the production of traditional cotton mopheads, with materials supplied to companies manufacturing in Spain and Italy.
What might otherwise have been considered textile waste became a valuable raw material for completely different industries.
Making the most of materials has been part of our business since 1964.
A Changing World
During the 1980s the UK textile industry began to change. Increasing amounts of textile production moved overseas as demand for cheaper clothing grew and retailers began to outsource production to Eastern Europe and Asia.
At the same time, new synthetic fibres and materials were being developed, changing the demand for traditional recycled textiles.
As the industry evolved, so did our business.
We gradually moved from handling large quantities of recycled cotton and surplus textiles into the manufacture and supply of industrial wiping cloths, cleaning rags and specialist wiping materials.
Over the years, traditional cotton wiping rags have been joined by increasingly advanced products, including non-woven wipes, microfibre cloths, low-lint materials and specialist industrial cleaning wipes.
This experience has helped us understand that choosing the right wiping product can make a real difference to cleaning performance, efficiency and reducing waste.
